Appeal Process for Teacher Education
If you are struggling to meet the admission to teacher education requirements, you
are eligible for appeal (i.e., admitted or conditionally admitted) if you meet one
of the criteria below.
Qualifying Test Score Appeal
Undergraduate
In lieu of the qualifying score on the ACT, SAT, or all 3 subtests of the Praxis Core,
one of the following criteria must be met.
- Candidates with an ACT composite score of at least 20 must:
- have a score of 21 or better on two of three ACT subtests (English, Reading, and/or
Math), and
- have earned a B- or better in the general education course aligned with the subtest
without the qualifying score (i.e., Writing subtest – English 1010 or English 1020;
Reading subtest-English 2020 or 2030 or HUM 2610; Math subtest- Math general education course)
