Forty directors of feature films from around the world were approached with a unique project: shoot a 1 minute film, no more than 3 takes, with no synchronized sound using a restored version of the camera used by the Lumiére brothers to shoot the first moving pictures. The directors were themselves filmed while doing this project. The result is a montage of interviews and films which are a tribute to the hundredth anniversary of the art of cinema.
