The Student Press Law Center reports that Los Angeles Unified School District administrators have decided against disciplining journalism adviser Adriana Chavira “for refusing to censor her students’ work.”

The case involved an article in 2021 about the effect on teachers of the Covid vaccine mandate. When a school librarian named in the story asked that her name be deleted, the students refused and Chavira backed them up.
