Fraternity and Sorority Life Council Executive Leadership

Council Executive Officers are responsible for the leadership of their council chapters and members. Positions range from president, judicial affairs, communications to administration, programming and logistics. You must be a member of that council to apply for a position. Each position is a yearlong position with IFC and CPH running December 1-November 30 and NPHC running from May-May (dates depend on election dates.) These positions are unpaid but offer a wealth of leadership experience. IFC and CPH positions open during the month of October via MyMT. NPHC positions open during the month of March via MyMT. Crash the Commons Committee Member

The Crash the Commons Committee is responsible for planning and executing one of the most exciting and fun events on MTSU’s campus – the 2021 Crash the Commons event! Applications open on February 8th and close March 19th. Any member of a CPH, IFC or NPHC chapter is eligible to apply. These positions are unpaid but offer a wealth of leadership and event planning experience. Applications are available here!

FSL Orientation Team

The FSL Orientation Team is comprised of members from all three FSL councils to promote fraternity and sorority life at MTSU. The goal of this team is to serve as ambassadors to incoming students (freshman and transfers) and their family members by participating during orientation session (CUSTOMS) during the summer. This team will play a major role in introducing new students to fraternity and sorority life at MTSU.  During CUSTOMS, the FSL Orientation Team members will assist with greeting, tabling, and interacting with students and parents. Members of the FSL Orientation Team will be trained and well educated on all three councils, community programs, and will be able to successfully articulate the importance/impact of fraternities and sororities at MTSU. IFC Recruitment Committee

The IFC Recruitment Committee is open to all members of IFC fraternities at MTSU. The IFC RC will serve as the first line of communication for students attending CUSTOMS each summer. These men will work to represent IFC and collect names for the interested men recruitment list. IFC RC members will be expected to work first and foremost for the community as a whole and serve as representatives for all chapters. NPHC Step Show Chair

The NPHC Homecoming Step Show Chair position is open to all members of the MTSU National Pan-Hellenic Council. The Step Show chair is responsible for the planning and execution of the Step Show in coordination with the FSL Staff. The chair’s primary responsibility will be to secure sponsorships for the show, promote the event, ensure ticket sales and serve as the liaison to the participating chapters. FSL Staff is responsible for the logistics of the event and will keep the chair in the loop on all decisions made. Additionally, the Chair will meet with the Step Show advisor on a regularly scheduled basis and will work with the advisor on all Step Show related plans. This position is unpaid but offers a wealth of leadership and event planning experience. Applications open in March.

Greek Week Committee Member

The Greek Week Committee is responsible for planning and executing a week of events to recognize and celebrate the FSL community at MTSU! Applications open in October. Any member of a CPH, IFC or NPHC chapter is eligible to apply. These positions are unpaid but offer a wealth of leadership and event planning experience. Check back for application links.  

CPH Recruitment Counselor

The CPH Recruitment Counselor position is open to all members in good standing of the College Panhellenic. RCs serve as ambassadors for women going through the CPH primary recruitment process. They serve as a guide to answer PNM (potential new member) questions. They also help to market the Panhellenic sorority experience to prospective members over the summer at our CUSTOMS sessions. FSL Program Assistant

The FSL Program Assistant, in conjunction with the Director and Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life, will work to support and improve the fraternity and sorority community at Middle Tennessee State University.  The Program Assistant will be an energetic and dedicated individual who will work intentionally to advance the fraternal movement and support the development of the fraternity and sorority community at Middle Tennessee State University. This is a paid position and is currently not open.
