FALL\u2019s mission is to present high quality contemporary & aerial dance that is accessible to all audiences through performances<\/a>, community outreach<\/a>, & artist opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

FALL was founded in 2010<\/strong> by Rebekah Hampton Barger and grew out of her desire to expand the vocabulary of contemporary dance by incorporating aerial elements to explore more dimensions of space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting as a small group of performers working project to project, in 2013<\/strong> Barger restructured the company to create a season and hold auditions for dancers committed to regular training and rehearsals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017<\/strong> FALL completed a 5-year residency with abrasiveMedia, Inc<\/a>. and received 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status from the IRS, becoming one of only a handful of nonprofit, dance organizations in Nashville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2019<\/strong> brought with it a move from the company\u2019s long-time home studio in order to partner with Nashville School of the Arts<\/a> and become the school\u2019s resident dance company. FALL Company Artists work weekly with students in the dance program, and all rehearsals and FALL Aerial Arts<\/a> classes are held in the school\u2019s largest studio and performance space.<\/p>\n
