Dr. Bob J. Womack

• Served in the U.S. Navy during WW II

Besides his undergraduate degree from MT, Dr. Womack earned his Masters and Doctorate in Education from Peabody College.  He was a Professor at MTSU in the Department of Educational Leadership at Middle Tennessee State University, later enamed the Womack Family Department of Educational Leadership. He had been inducted into both the Tennessee Teachers Hall of Fame and the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Hall of Fame. He was the author of The Echo of Hoofbeats, Call Forth the Mighty Men, A History of Tennessee and many other books.
