Colonel (R) Jeff Davidson is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and currently resides in Eagleville, TN.  COL Davidson graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in History.  

COL Davidson, an Armor and Cavalry officer with over 30 years in the United States Army served in variety of command and leadership positions to include Cavalry Troop Commander, Battalion Executive Officer, Brigade Operations Officer, Joint and Combined Exercise Planner and Battalion Commander, Director US Army Armor School, Chief of Staff US Army Armor Center and FT Knox and Command Inspector General.  COL Davidson has multiple combat tours including Operation DESERT SHIELD/STORM as well as Operation JOINT ENDEAVOR/GUARD in Bosnia Herzegovina.   During his last combat tour he served as a Senior Military Advisor to the Iraqi Joint Force Headquarters assigned to Multi-National Security and Transition Command Iraq during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.  

After retiring from the Army, COL Davidson served as the Deputy Mayor for Rutherford Country Tennessee and was instrumental in the development of several county wide initiatives to include both the Veterans Treatment and Mental Health Courts, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, the development of the Pre-Trial Risk Assessment and Diversion Program as well as the expansion of Recovery Court Facilities.   COL Davidson’s military education includes: Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Cavalry Leaders Course, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Defense Language Institute (French), U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Air Force War College where he earned a Master’s of Science degree in National Security Studies.  

COL Davidson’s awards and decorations include: the Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, Bronze Star Medal with oak leaf cluster, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, Joint Meritorious Unit Award with oak leaf cluster, and the Valorous Unit Citation.  

He is married to the former Elizabeth Hoefer (Cary) of Knoxville, Tennessee for 35 years. The couple has two daughters, Erin a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Casey a graduate from the University of Louisville.
