And remember, wherever you are going, you will&nbsp;always have a home here at Middle Tennessee State University!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-block accordion expandable-group expandable-group-faq\" id=\"newExpandable\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingmaterials-required-for-departure\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablematerials-required-for-departure\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablematerials-required-for-departure\">Materials Required for Departure<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablematerials-required-for-departure\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingmaterials-required-for-departure\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>Once you have&nbsp;been accepted by the host school, a number of things should quickly happen at MTSU:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Placement Acceptance For (PAF):<\/strong>\u00a0The MTSU NSE Coordinator will contact you\u00a0for an appointment and tell you which placement you&#8217;ve been offered. During the appointment, you will accept or reject a placement decision\u00a0by signing a Placement Acceptance Form (PAF).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pre-Departure Orientation:<\/strong>\u00a0Outgoing students are required to participate in a NSE Pre-Departure Orientation Meeting with the NSE Coordinator and complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/nse\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/138\/2024\/12\/NSE_FA_Screen_Form_2023-2024.pdf\">Financial Aid Pre-Screening Form<\/a>. After\u00a0the PAF is completed, instructions will be provided on the Pre-Departure Orientation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advising Agreement:<\/strong>\u00a0Once you\u00a0know what institution you\u00a0are attending, you are expected to work with your academic advisor to complete an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/nse\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/138\/2024\/12\/NSE_Advising_Agreement_2023-2024.pdf\">MTSU NSE Advising Agreement<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0After\u00a0it is completed, it must be signed by you, your advisor, your Department Chair, and the MTSU NSE Coordinator. Give\u00a0copies to your\u00a0advisor, the MTSU NSE Coordinator, Financial Aid and keep one for your personal records. The original form is filed with\u00a0the MTSU NSE Coordinator.<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Waiver &amp; Assumption of Risk:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Participation is voluntary, but carries with it certain risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of care taken. A signed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/nse\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/138\/2024\/12\/MTSU_NSERiskWaiver_2023-2024.pdf\">Waiver &amp; Assumption of Risk<\/a>\u00a0is required.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Budget:\u00a0<\/strong>Consider using this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/nse\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/138\/2024\/12\/budget_worksheet_shackelford.pdf\">Budget\/Resource Worksheet<\/a>\u00a0to determine your expenses while you are on exchange.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct Deposit:<\/strong>\u00a0If you\u00a0anticipate receiving an overage amount from your\u00a0financial aid, you are encouraged to set up\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/tuition\/direct-deposit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">direct deposit<\/a>\u00a0with a checking account through Financial Aid.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mtsu-blocks-expandable-item accordion-item expandable-heading expandable-heading-faq\"><h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingbeing-true-blue\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsenewExpandablebeing-true-blue\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapsenewExpandablebeing-true-blue\">Being TRUE BLUE<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"collapsenewExpandablebeing-true-blue\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse expandable-content expandable-content-faq\" aria-labelledby=\"headingbeing-true-blue\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>Outgoing NSE students are still students of Middle Tennessee State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While on exchange, NSE students are expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Uphold all city, state and federal laws<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uphold the student code of conduct at their host institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uphold the\u00a0MTSU\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/student-conduct.mtsu.edu\/code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Code of Conduct<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live up to the standards of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/trueblue\/pledge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">True Blue Pledge<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please carefully review the links above.
