  • Nanomaterials

Research facilities include a newly renovated building (completion October, 2016):

  • Physics Education Research video analysis lab
  • ISO Class 6 (class 1000) clean room, SEM, TEM, Dual beam FIB
  • 16-inch telescope observatory
  • Optical tweezers, Quantum entanglement laser systems
  • Femtosecond laser, THz time-domain spectroscopy
  • Carbon nanotube, and semiconductor nanocrystal fabrication

Candidates must be passionate about teaching, and provide a plan for developing an active research program to fully engage undergraduates.  The department offers a B.S. in physics with concentrations in professional physics, physics teaching, applied physics, and astronomy.

PhD in Physics, or closely related discipline by start date.
