Provenance and Acquisition Information

This tape was loaned for copying by Chris Harris, a faculty member in the Radio/TV/Photography department, Middle Tennessee State University, who recorded the tape for a film project around 1965.

Scope and Content

This brief tape of a church service was recorded on location "in the sugar cane country near Napoleonville Louisiana" by Chris Harris about 1965 for a documentary film project. It includes prayers, testimony and congregational singing of "The Last Mile of the Way" and two unidentified songs.
