{"id":2112,"date":"2025-01-21T16:03:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-21T16:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/blogtest\/spring-2025-strategic-plan-update\/"},"modified":"2025-03-28T15:23:40","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T15:23:40","slug":"spring-2025-strategic-plan-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/president\/spring-2025-strategic-plan-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring 2025 Strategic Plan Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 3\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>In fall 2023, Provost Mark Byrnes and I launched an integrated strategic planning process designed to unite our three existing plans (the Quest for Student Success, Academic Master Plan, and the 2015\u20132025 MTSU Strategic Plan) into a single institutional Strategic Plan 2035.<\/p>\n<p>The 2035 integrated strategic planning process has been organized around four pillars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic Quality<\/li>\n<li>Student Success<\/li>\n<li>Engagement<\/li>\n<li>Innovation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 3\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Goals, strategies, and metrics for each of these pillars were developed by subcommittees that included broad representation from faculty, staff, students, and alumni and community leaders. A complete timeline of that process is available on the University website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/strategicplan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mtsu.edu\/strategicplan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All members of the University community were invited to participate in development of the strategic plan through activities such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responding to mission review surveys<\/li>\n<li>Attending town halls and focus group sessions<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and responding to drafts of the strategic plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 3\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The process is now shifting to the development of an implementation plan.
