{"id":2506,"date":"2025-08-25T20:42:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T20:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/president\/?p=2506"},"modified":"2026-04-11T05:02:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T10:02:39","slug":"fall-2025-quality-enhancement-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/president\/fall-2025-quality-enhancement-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Fall 2025 Quality Enhancement Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div>\n<p>The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is part of our ongoing effort to support student learning and success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The QEP process is designed and mandated by our University\u2019saccrediting body as a data-driven and grassroots undertaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is an opportunity for us to collaborate, innovate, and make a positive impact on our campus community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Past QEPs have established programs and initiatives that are now part of the academic fabric of MTSU, including Experiential Learning (EXL) and the recently rebranded Engage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MTSU\u2019s new Quality Enhancement Plan, determined by the campus community, is Career EDGE (Excellence, Development, Growth, Experience).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Career EDGE prepares our students for meaningful professions through enhancing career development, self-development, and professionalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Career EDGE program development committee, comprised of faculty, staff, and students across campus, has developed specific goals over the past year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Goal 1 is to support students through enhanced career advising and mentorship opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Goal 2 is to support students through enhanced integration of coursework and National Association of Colleges and Employers career readiness competencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential initiatives being discussed to support these goals include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Assisting students in career progression<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Integrating two key National Association of Colleges and Employers competencies in coursework (career and self- development, and professionalism)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> \u2022 Providing incentive grants for students, faculty, and staff to innovate around Career EDGE goals <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pilot program and Faculty Learning Community will be launched this fall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to provide input on further Career EDGE progress, please attend our next town hall, at 3 p.m. Oct. 1 in BAS S102. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To provide feedback or learn more about Career EDGE, email <a href=\"mailto:qep@mtsu.edu\">qep@mtsu.edu<\/a> or complete the form at <a href=\"http:\/\/mtsu.edu\/careeredge\">mtsu.edu\/careeredge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to hearing from you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is part of our ongoing effort to support student learning and success.
