Scholars must maintain a 3.5 or better GPA, have high moral character and participate in at least half of their team's competitions in the current season in order to be named an All-American Scholar.

"This is an extremely impressive accomplishment, especially as all three of them have now earned this recognition multiple times," Head Coach Chris Adams said. "They work extremely hard on and off the course and are great representatives of Middle Tennessee athletics. It has been a true pleasure to have them as a part of our program."

Gotcher, a recent Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology graduate with a 3.90 GPA, is earning the recognition for the fourth consecutive season.

She had the top scoring average on the team in 2016-17 at 75 strokes per round and was a two-time All-Conference USA selection and two-time C-USA All-Academic selection.

The Clarksville native closed her career at Middle Tennessee by being named the True Blue President's Award winner and was subsequently nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Burris, a redshirt sophomore who competed in every tournament for the Blue Raiders, caught fire in the spring to the tune of a team-best 73 strokes per round.

Her hot streak led to an impressive performance at the Conference USA Championship in which she ran away with the individual title by six strokes at 7-under par (67-70-72=209).

The Manchester, Tenn., native is a Business Administration major who holds a 3.78 GPA and was an All-C-USA Second Team selection this season.

Long joined Burris and Gotcher as a leader in the Blue Raider lineup, posting a 75.3 stroke average in her sophomore campaign to earn All-Conference USA Third Team honors.

Hailing from Clarksville, Tenn., Long holds a perfect 4.0 GPA in Organizational Communication through her first two seasons as a Blue Raider and earned Conference USA All-Academic Team honors in 2016-17.

Long earned Conference USA Golfer of the Week honors on Sep. 19 following a strong finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship where she carded a 5-over 221 (74-74-73).

In addition to this year's All-American Scholar honor being the fourth consecutive for Gotcher, it is also the second consecutive honor for both Burris and Long.
