Working with the Rutherford County Election Commission, the&nbsp;<strong>True Blue&nbsp;Voter<\/strong>&nbsp;initiative assists Tennessee students in registering in either&nbsp;&nbsp;Rutherford County or their&nbsp;&nbsp;home counties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If I am registered to vote in my home county, do I have to travel home to vote?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are registered to vote in a county other than Rutherford County, you can use an&nbsp;<strong>absentee ballot<\/strong>.&nbsp;Please note, you either&nbsp;<strong>must register to vote in person<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>vote in person once<\/strong>&nbsp;before you can request&nbsp;an absentee ballot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Aug. 8<\/strong>, you can request an&nbsp;<strong>Absentee Request form<\/strong>, using the links on this site as well as find the contact information for your&nbsp;county\u2019s Election Commission.&nbsp;Once you\u2019ve completed the form, simply email,&nbsp;fax, or mail it to your county Election Commission office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For my vote to count, when must the ballot be received by the Election&nbsp;Commission office?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The absentee ballot has to be received in the mail no later than Election Day.
