Course Development / Redesign Fees
The charts below indicate the online course development and redesign fees based on the work completed and contract requirements met.
Development/redesign fees are paid when the course is approved by the department chair/school director and the Online/Hybrid Course Development/Redesign Agreement is on file in the MTSU Online Faculty Services office. Payment is usually received eight (8) weeks after course approval depending on date of submission of the pay document and HR deadlines.

If a substantial redesign of an existing online or hybrid course is necessary prior to contract expiration (contracts are valid for three years) due to textbook changes or other extenuating circumstances, course designers may receive, with prior approval from MTSU Online Faculty Services, the redesign fee if a new contract is signed. Written requests for early redesign may be made to MTSU Online Faculty Services.
