More Details

Faculty frequently use summer session to attend to their writing goals, but summer often brings with it a sense of isolation and summertime distractions. Make this the summer you finish your big (or small) writing project by turbo-charging your writing process with the support from an academic writing group. Academic writing groups can help faculty identify measurable and achievable goals, stay on task, and problem-solve writing obstacles. Whether you have experience working in a writing group or no experience at all and are curious to know how and why they work, this workshop is for you. Our goals for this hour-long workshop are threefold:

  1. Understand how writing groups can serve your writing goals;
  2. Identify the variety of ways writing groups can function;
  3. Connect with fellow faculty to form summer writing groups.
