Intended audience: Intermediate experience (understands general basics of D2L)

Descriptions: Participants will create discussion forums and topics and cover a variety of uses for discussion boards. Group setup and use for discussions will also be reviewed. Options for grading student’s participation in discussions will be demonstrated. Accepting student work via the D2L dropbox will be covered along with options for using Turnitin and Grademark for electronic grading. Demonstration of grading a dropbox submission and associating it with a grade item will also be a part of this session.

Section Information

This workshop is part of the Spring 2018 Bootcamp and will be a complete explanation of Discussion boards and their use in the classroom. We will also cover Groups, Dropboxes, and Rubric creation and use.
