The Disability & Access Center office hours are as follows:

Prior to joining MTSU Disability and Access Center, Kevin served as Coordinator of Disability Services for Columbia State Community College for 5 years.  Kevin has obtained a Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling at Eastern Illinois University and Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation, Sports, and Tourism at University of Illinois.  Kevin enjoys seeing how students grow throughout their college experience.  Kevin’s interests are spending time with his wife and two girls, being a basketball enthusiast, and being involved in the community.

Dr. Gerald Christian

Dr. Christian earned a Ph.D. in Human Performance, a M.Ed. in Professional Counseling, and a B.S. degree in Psychology all at Middle Tennessee State University. He spent four years teaching at MTSU for the Health & Human Performance department. Prior to teaching he was an academic advisor at MTSU. Dr. Christian is passionate about student success, assisting students as they work on their academic goals and working towards gainful employment. Dr. Christian is dedicated to raising awareness on disability. Through research and public speaking, he strives to educate people and reduce stereotypes. He loves adaptive sport and exercise, live music, and playing Xbox.

Bonnie McCarty

Bonnie has been "True Blue" since 2004! Prior to joining the DAC team, she served as the head of the scholarship program at MTSU, then as an academic advisor in the College of Behavioral & Health Sciences. Bonnie has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and music education from Campbellsville (KY) University and a Master of Education degree in higher education administration from MTSU; she is currently pursuing a 2nd master's degree in Information Systems through MTSU. Bonnie enjoys spending time with her husband and two young adult "children", reading, watching movies, and crafting (particularly scrapbooking and origami).

Mariahn Watkins

For four years, Mari advised Recording Industry students with the College of Media and Entertainment. She advised for over two years at Nashville State Community College before joining MTSU. Mari received her Master of Science Degree from Illinois State University and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Illinois University. Mari and her husband are enthusiastic organic vegetable gardeners and work on their model train layout during their spare time.

Sonya Hicks

Sonya served as a Testing Coordinator at Middle Tennessee State University for the Disability and Access Center for 7 years before moving into a new role as Administrative Assistant in 2022.  She loves encouraging and assisting students in reaching their goals for their future.  Sonya enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 boys.  She loves her weekends working with ABLES (children and adults with disabilities) and Ripples (teaching soccer skills to 2- & 3-year-olds).

Caleb Paschall

Caleb Paschall is a graduate of MTSU and a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association.  He is also a self-defense instructor and provides training to members of the MTSU community and the Middle Tennessee area.
