Resident Directors

Resident Directors (RDs) at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) are paraprofessional staff members that are an essential component of the Housing and Residential Life Program. RDs are students that are selected on the basis of the following criteria: previous residence hall experience, academic achievement, leadership skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for our residents. 

This position comes with vast applicable job experience and many perks to help offset the cost of attending University, whether attending as an undergraduate or graduate student. This position requires a criminal background check including fingerprints, and will require HR Paperwork, which includes the necessity for a Social Security Card. International Students who don’t currently have a Social Security Card will be given instructions for how to obtain one.
