Covid-19 Testing Required For All Passengers Boarding Flights Bound for the United States:
On January 26, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced an order requiring all air passengers arriving to the U.S. from a foreign country to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to present the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight. *
If you must travel, have a plan in case you test positive for COVID-19 and be ready to pay additional hotel costs and change fees. Consider purchasing medical travel insurance that includes pandemic coverage. Your trip may be severely disrupted by: Unexpectedly testing positive for COVID-19; Lack of testing or test results not returning within 3 days; Mandatory quarantines, travel restrictions, and closed borders.

It may take up to 4 weeks, from the day you apply to receive a status on your application. During these 4 weeks, the application is delivered to a mail facility, the payment processed, and the application is scanned and sent to Passport Services for processing. Customers who check their status online at travel.state.gov prior to 4 weeks from the date you applied, may receive a response of "Not Found". This means that the application is still in transit to one of our passport agencies and centers.
- Routine Service: is up to 18 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application.
