Because of the format of the courses in our online M.S. in Finance program, students who are out-of-state can receive the eRate tuition for their fall semester, and an out-of-state tuition rate for the spring and summer semesters.

Scholarship Opportunities

Our program offers five graduate assistantships to Tennessee residents each fall that provide up to $40,000 per year in tuition reimbursement and stipend. In return, students serve the Department of Economics and Finance through remote work like supporting faculty research projects or assisting with teaching responsibilities. Assistantships are awarded competitively.

Veterans and Active Military

All veterans attending MTSU programs pay in-state tuition no matter where the veteran lives. We are also honored to be the home of the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, the largest and most comprehensive support facility of its kind in Tennessee, and home to Tennessee’s first Honors College, offering a rigorous and rewarding experience for high-ability students.
