Dr. Pisut is a Professor at MTSU. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel Design from Iowa State University. Dr. Pisut is a Professor at MTSU. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel Design from Iowa State University. From Auburn University, she earned her Master of Science in Consumer Affairs and her Ph.D. in Integrated Textile and Apparel Sciences, both with a concentration in Apparel Design. She specializes in patternmaking, fit, and product development, with over 25 years of experience in these areas. Her experience has allowed her to work with apparel design companies and institutions in the positions of instructor, consultant, free-lance designer, writer, and reviewer. Creative Activity

Her creative endeavor projects in advanced corsetry have also received national and international recognition through national design competitions and museum displays in both the United States and Great Britain. Her research study is dedicated to body image and body cathexis, along with body shape, apparel sizing, and fit preferences of US female consumers.
