Biography

Laura Cochrane began teaching at MTSU in 2009. Dr. Cochrane teaches classes on medieval art, Renaissance art, Islamic art, book history, design history, and art history methodologies. She has also taught study abroad classes in Istanbul. Before receiving her PhD, Dr. Cochrane worked as a rare book librarian and archivist at Harvard University, the University of Delaware, and Princeton University. Laura Cochrane began teaching at MTSU in 2009. Dr. Cochrane teaches classes on medieval art, Renaissance art, Islamic art, book history, design history, and art history methodologies. She has also taught study abroad classes in Istanbul. Before receiving her PhD, Dr. Cochrane worked as a rare book librarian and archivist at Harvard University, the University of Delaware, and Princeton University. Presently, she is completing a publication on the diagrams and imagery in a Carolingian mathematical treatises.
