WELCOME TO MTSU INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS & SERVICE
The goal of International Programs and Services Office is to ensure that international students enrolled at MTSU along with their spouses who come from around the world have the best experience possible while studying in the United States. IPSO does its level best to provide comprehensive services and a support system to its students and their spouses in order to enhance their efforts in achieving their personal, cultural and professional goals.
IPSO strives to create an environment conducive for a smooth transition to the American educational system by developing programming that fosters a social and cultural life in a new and unfamiliar setting. Students have the opportunity to meet with IPSO personal one-on-one to discuss issues in any area of their concern as it relates to their adjustment to the American campus and community life.
Programs and services provided by IPSO are as follows:
- Advisement is provided for international students in many areas of their needs.
- Transportation is made available for international students in emergency cases as well as for going shopping and also taking tours in special occasions.
- International students are given an opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities where they share their knowledge and talents.
- IPSO encourages students to join the International Students Association and ethnic clubs of their own wish to feel that they are a part of the university community.
- IPSO has developed a variety of activities in which international Students can have an opportunity to fellowship with other international students and the American citizenry as well.
- IPSO provides a Student handbook and brochures that would give them Relevant information on various aspects of their student life needs and services at MTSU and in Murfreesboro.
