Thank you for your interest in the many summer camps, seminars, and learning experiences offered by Middle Tennessee State University. For over five decades, MTSU has provided summer activities for young children, teens, and adults alike.
The 2025 summer experiences are listed below. Listings include the camp organizers and contact info, a short description of each experience, dates, costs, and registration deadlines. Please contact the camp organizer if you have questions or wish to register.

Digital Media and Content Creation Camp: Covering Governor’s School Katie Foss Andrea Hall 615-494-7747 | June 23-27, 2025 | 9am-3pm Before/after hours available | $250 (includes lunches and a t-shirt) | Do you love to watch or make online content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok? This camp is a chance to flex your creativity and build more content creation skills in photography, design, and video for social media. Through media workshops and hands-on learning, participants will plan and create social media content for the Governor’s School for the Arts at MTSU, such as behind-the-scenes interviews with artists, short-form progress videos of new creative works, or promotional graphics of exhibits and concerts. National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) Pre-College Summer Program Dr. Lei Miao | July 7-Aug 1, 2025 | Residential program; participants arrive on campus Monday morning and leave Friday afternoon | Free – must meet requirements Apply here | The objective of NSTI is to provide high school students with awareness of transportation careers, enhance STEM skills and encourage students to consider a transportation-related major. Scholars Academy Freshman Summer Institute 615-898-5975 | TBD | 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. | $75 | The Scholars Academy is a two-week early arrival program for incoming first-time freshmen prior to the first day of school in August. Students must participate for the duration of the Institute, attend all Institute events, as well as register for the Scholars Academy sections of UNIV 1010 for the Fall 2023 semester. Study skills workshops, team-building exercises, leadership training, the summer reading program, and service-learning projects are integral aspects of the Scholars Academy. Soccer – Girls High School Team Camp (Girls ages 12-17) Aston Rhoden 615-898-5316 | July 14-16, 2025 | Half Day: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Full Day 9:00-4:00 Overnight Option Available | Half Day $200 Full Day $350 Overnight $420 | The Girls High School Team Camp consists of a customized, age specific, training program for U13 to U18 teams and individual players. All teams are assigned a staff coach for the duration of the camp and compete in small sided and full sided games in addition to team training. Options for attending this camp are Half Day (9am-12pm), Full Day (9am-4pm), or overnight. This camp will be very beneficial to all youth players and teams getting ready for the upcoming fall season. They are dedicated to the furtherance of the Southern Gospel music genre and passionate about providing singers and musicians with the highest-quality training possible.All students who attend the school pay the tuition fee, which includes class work, books, and supplies. In addition to the tuition fee, students pay an application fee when registering. This application fee is the only non-refundable cost. Scholarships are available to students with a financial need.
