Convocation marks the official opening of the academic year, and welcomes all new students to MTSU! This event is an MTSU tradition and a must-attend for the entering Class of 2029. Convocation is hosted by President McPhee. New students will take the True Blue Pledge, led by Student Government Association President RJ Ware.
Our keynote speaker will be Bob Welch, co-author of Healing Wounds, A Vietnam Combat Nurse’s 10-year Fight to Win Women a Place of Honor in Washington, D.C.
The Convocation Ceremony, as well as Mr. Welch’s presentation, can be viewed at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, on True Blue TV and MTSU’s Facebook channel.
