Our pantry is located on the 2nd floor of the
Student Services and Admissions Center in the MT One Stop,
adjacent to our Visitor's Parking lot.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: The MT One Stop front counter is temporarily closed as we practice safe social distancing, but all of our services remain intact. We will continue to assist via email and phone as always, see our contact information on the right side of the screen. If you need to visit the MTSU Food Pantry you may do so between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, by coming to our building and calling the number on the door. One of our Enrollment Coordinators will be available to bring you food and hygiene products.
The Start of the Pantry
In Fall 2012, MT One Stop and the Student Government Association (SGA) started a student food pantry for MTSU students who were unsure where their next meal was going to come from. Due to an increasing number of hungry college students, it was important to address this need on our campus. As the need continues. we hope that we are able to address the needs of our student body through the food pantry.
MTSU joined the College and University Food Bank Alliance (CUFBA) in March 2017, which joins institutions with established food pantries or ones looking to start a food pantry. The items for our food pantry are stocked from food drives, individual and group donations, as well as monetary donations. The MTSU Student Food Pantry has grown tremendously over the years and with the increased growth and demand we have been able to serve students from a variety of circumstances and backgrounds.
Know a Student Who is Hungry?
If you know an MTSU student who is hungry and/or in between meals, please send them to the MT One Stop. Our coordinators will gladly assess the student’s need and help them find items from the pantry.
In conjunction with the food pantry, we are able to assist students that may have more long-term needs through our relationships with community partners. Often we are able to direct students to www.h3arc.com for community resources when we are not able to address their needs with on-campus resources. That information is found under Helpful Community Resources.
