Mickey graduated from the University of Notre Dame.  He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations.

Mickey has been in the insurance business for 47 years.  He was with Aetna Life Insurance Company, primarily in management (in Memphis, Hartford, CT, and Jackson, TN) during his first 13 years in the business.  From 1970-1998, he was an agent in Memphis and a partner in the firm of Payton-Moran, CLUs, and a principal in Peyton-Moran Company, an insurance and employee benefit planning firm.

Since April 1998, Mickey has been owner of The Moran Company, affiliated with UCL Financial Group in Memphis.  His primary companies are Canada Life and Union Central Life.  He has the reputation of being a keen competitor who can open the door to new accounts with his quick wit, extensive product knowledge, and excellent customer service.
