Computer Science offers preparation for computing careers in business, government, education, industry, and grad school.
Computer Science, Business Applications Concentration, B.S.
The business applications concentration in the Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science is offered through the College of Basic and Applied Sciences at MTSU. The use of computer applications has grown rapidly throughout the years to include phone apps, web applications, and more.
Depending upon their individual interests, students may choose a minor in
- Business Administration
- Mathematics
MTSU graduates are valued by employers ranging from tech titans such as Google, Microsoft, Meta to big companies in different industries like HCA, Schneider Electric, Deloitte, and Caterpillar. Employment in the field is projected to grow at a rate of 25% percent between 2021 and 2031 with a median annual pay of $109,020 at 2021 based on the report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
