Cybersecurity Management
Cybersecurity increasingly depends on data analytics to detect threats, uncover vulnerabilities, and guide defense strategies. Students will learn to analyze cyber risks using statistical methods, anomaly detection, and data visualization.
Cybersecurity Management, Data Analytics Concentration, B.S.
Cybersecurity relies more than ever on insights drawn from data. As threats grow in complexity and scale, organizations rely on data to detect intrusions, uncover vulnerabilities, and respond swiftly to potential attacks. This concentration prepares students to work at the critical intersection of cybersecurity and analytics, where data becomes a strategic asset in defending digital environments.
Students will explore core analytical concepts, such as statistical methods, anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and data visualization, and apply them to real-world cybersecurity challenges. Through practical, hands-on learning, they’ll develop the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights that support secure decision-making and risk mitigation.
Emphasis is placed on understanding how data can be used to strengthen threat intelligence, support compliance efforts, and drive more proactive cybersecurity strategies across a variety of industries. Graduates will be equipped not only with technical knowledge, but also with the analytical thinking and problem-solving skills essential to navigating the fast-paced world of cybersecurity.
