C-USA ANNOUNCES ALL-ACADEMIC TENNIS SQUADS

photoIRVING, Texas - Middle Tennessee's Yannick Born earned Conference USA Men's Tennis All-Academic Team Honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

The senior and native of Hannover, Germany holds a 3.69 GPA as a Management major at MT, while he posted a 10-5 record in singles play this season.

He has the best record in singles play for the Blue Raiders and has been the team's anchor at the middle of the line-up. Born is undefeated in singles action at the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 position.

Born is a two-time Sun Belt Commissioner's list member and was named a 2014 ITA Scholar Athlete last year.

Born and the Blue Raiders garnered the No. 5 seed in the C-USA Championship and will face No. 4 Charlotte on Friday at 1 p.m. CT in the quarterfinal round.
