Biography

Alton Dellinger, audio engineer for the Department of Recording Industry, earned his associate's degree in Electronics Technology from Mayland Technical College in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Belmont University in Nashville. Alton Dellinger, audio engineer for the Department of Recording Industry, earned his associate's degree in Electronics Technology from Mayland Technical College in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Belmont University in Nashville. Before coming to MTSU, Mr. Dellinger was the owner and operator of an electronic repair service for songwriters, music publishers and recording studios. Clients included Sony, Warner Brothers, Mel Tillis Entertainment and The Charlie Daniels Band. While earning his degree at Belmont University, Mr. Dellinger was employed as student staff recording engineer and student studio manager. Mr. Dellinger is also an adjunct faculty member who teaches the course Recording Studio Maintenance. He authored the textbook for this course, used here and elsewhere.
