Lisa Shepherd has 20 years of experience in the field of nutrition, including food service management, food manufacturing, clinical dietetics, and science education. She taught Food Science courses at MTSU from 2006 - 2010 and returned in 2018 as a full-time instructor.
Research / Scholarly Activity
Lisa is currently working toward a PhD in Mathematics and Science Education. Her research interests include integrating food science into K-12 education, curriculum development, and online course design.
Additional activities include providing design and instruction expertise for the “Blue Raiders Drink Up: Healthy Choices for Healthy Students” cooking classes.
