Biography

Dr. Lee is a faculty member in the Professional Counseling program at Middle Tennessee State University, specializing in clinical mental health counseling. She currently serves as the Program Coordinator and the Director of the MTSU Center for Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. Lee is a faculty member in the Professional Counseling program at Middle Tennessee State University, specializing in clinical mental health counseling. She currently serves as the Program Coordinator and the Director of the MTSU Center for Counseling and Psychological Services. Prior to joining MTSU, Dr. Lee held faculty positions in counseling programs at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. She earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mississippi State University, a M.Ed. in Community Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.  Dr. Lee is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider status (LPC/MHSP) in Tennessee. She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).  Dr. Lee is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).   Dr. Lee is currently serving as a Board member for the Council for the Accreditation for Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP).  She has held the office of president for the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES), and the Tennessee Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (TACES).  She currently services as the conference coordinator for the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association (TLPCA), serving as the conference coordinator.
