Graduate Assistantship Financial Breakdown
Graduate Assistants receive a stipend each month according to assistantship type and level. An assistantship also pays a student’s graduate tuition, debt service fee, and technology fee. Assistants are responsible for all other fees and must pay fees by the fee payment deadlines posted by the MTSU Business Office each semester. Assistants must be enrolled in at least six (6) hours of graduate level courses each semester during contract, fulfill work requirement, and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 for master/Ed.S level or 3.25 for doctoral level.
Master Level: Science
Assistantships in this category are in the Aerospace, Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Information Systems & Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering Technology, Mathematical Sciences, Nursing, and Professional Science Program departments.
