Must be a currently enrolled MTSU undergraduate or graduate student
Must have an overall GPA >= 2.75 at the time of application
Must have completed at least two Japanese language courses (or six credit hours) at MTSU at the time of application, not including JAPN 1000 and JAPN 4010.
Financial need, in the broadest sense, is required. Multiple factors, including FAFSA information, determines financial need.
You may apply to only ONE category:
Category A (Study Abroad in Japan Scholarship): Must be participating in an MTSU approved study abroad program in Japan that currently has a student exchange agreement with MTSU. The Japanese institutions that fall under this category are Kansai Gaidai University, Seinan Gakuin University, Saitama University, Nagoya Gakuin University, and Reitaku University.
Category B (Tuition Fee Assistance Scholarship): Must be registering for the course for which you are seeking tuition fee assistance. Currently registered courses may also be included.
