DAC Staff

Dr. Lance Alexis

Lance Alexis has worked in the field of Disability Services Provision since 2007 and earned a Doctor of Education from East Tennessee State University in 2008, Master of Education from Christian Brothers University in 2003, and Master and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi in 2001 and 1999.  He greatly enjoys the opportunity to bring a greater awareness of disability culture to the campus. 

Kevin States
Associate Director

Prior to joining MTSU Disability and Access Center, Kevin served as Coordinator of Disability Services for Columbia State Community College for 5 years.  Kevin has obtained a Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling at Eastern Illinois University and Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation, Sports, and Tourism at University of Illinois.  Kevin enjoys seeing how students grow throughout their college experience.  Kevin’s interests are spending time with his wife and two girls, being a basketball enthusiast, and being involved in the community.

Bill Burgess
Adaptive Technology Center

Bill Burgess studied education at MTSU and taught adaptive technology for the State of Tennessee at the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center in Smyrna, TN. He currently manages the Adaptive Technology Center in Walker Library and aids with dissemination of adaptive technologies across campus. His hobbies include technology, music, and games.
Sara Read

Sara Read has a degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Film and Television Production. She oversees all aspects of test proctoring for DAC. In her spare time Sara enjoys seeing as many movies as possible and watching a variety of sports.

Caleb Paschall
Adaptive Recreation & Exercise
Caleb Paschall is a graduate of MTSU and a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association.  He is also a self-defense instructor and provides training to members of the MTSU community and the Middle Tennessee area.
