Minors and Interdisciplinary Programs
An English minor is a "value added" to any degree program offered at MTSU. Courses may be selected from a variety of upper-division courses according to the student’s academic interests and career goals.
A minor in English requires a minimum of 15 upper division hours, including ENGL 3007: Writing and the Literary Imagination.
NOTE: Required General Education English courses (ENGL 1010, 1020, 2020, 2030) may not be counted as part of the hours required for the minor. ENGL 2500: Introduction to Creative Writing, however, may be applied to the required hours.
