Project Description

My project is focused on measuring health science students beliefs and attitudes on working with the older adult population. Currently we have a massive lack of geriatric specific clinicians and so more research is needed on how we can supplement that workforce.

Why does this topic interest you?

I think this is a massive issue facing the healthcare in our nation. And the ability to contribute to fighting it means a lot to me.

What are your professional aspirations?

I hope to go to graduate school to pursue furthering my education and research. I hope to one day work in surgical science and advance the field of medicine immensely.

Do you have any advice for future researchers?

Just put yourself out there. You won’t know unless you try, so go and ask some people. That’s what research is all about, asking questions. Find yourself a great faculty mentor and listen to them, take their advice and work on making your projects the best they can be.
