Logo Contest

In October 2014, MT Engage announced a logo contest in which all University students were invited to submit a logo drawing and concept which would become the permanent logo for the program.  16 entries were received and narrowed to three by the MT Engage QEP committee.  The top 3 logos were featured at the MT Engage Launch event on November 6.  The winner was selected by popular vote of launch attendees.

We Have a Winner!

With more than 50% of the popular vote, Justin Johnson, a junior Computer Information Systems major, took the prize, and his logo will become the permanent symbol for MT Engage.  His design elements included a group of students encircled by a laurel wreath.  To Justin, the laurel wreath symbolizes the victory of having a complete college experience - being engaged, learning at an exponential rate, and knowing how to showcase your abilities - which will give you a head start on your career path after college.

Student Involvement

Students from Dr. Tricia Farwell's Campaigns Class (ADV 4170) designed materials (pictured below) and promoted the event across campus.  They worked the launch event activities and encouraged students to stop and cast a ballot.
