How to Find Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) Classes

What is ZTC?

At Middle Tennessee State University, we recognize that the high costs of textbooks can be a barrier to student success. ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost) courses do not require students to buy textbooks. These courses eliminate conventional textbook costs by using alternative course materials, such as Open Educational Resources (OER). Students can find ZTC classes in Pipeline by searching for sections marked with the ZTC attribute (see the steps below). 

Please note:  Students may have to pay for other required supplies, such as art supplies, calculators or other equipment.

Finding ZTC Classes in Pipeline

Step One:  Choose the Advanced Search.

Step Two:  Choose the subject (OR select all subjects).

Step Three:  Under Attribute Type, choose Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) .

Step Four: View a list of courses in that subject with the ZTC attribute.
