Core Router Upgrade - Replace at least 1 of 4 core routers to accommodate 10Gbs interfaces and add redundant building connections. Existing equipment has been End of Sale, has limited number of 10Gbs interfaces. Replacing the existing router will improved network throughput and security options. Replacing these routers will ensure vendor support for the network core. Total projected cost for one router is $165,000. Depending on discounts, an additional replacement router may be acquired in this project. ITD is requesting 50% of the funding for the project ($82,500) from TAF.
