BDA 214 and BDA 216

BDA 214 and 216 are both master classrooms that were some of the first to be installed at MTSU. These two classrooms serve over sixty-two classes and over 2400 students annually. BDA 214 is used primarily for Communication Studies (public speaking, etc.) classes and BDA 216 is primarily used for the Communication Disorders program. The equipment in these spaces is outdated and is difficult to use due to a series of replacement equipment that has been installed over the years; because of this, components are not as compatible as a cohesive "unit" system should be. We ask for a complete upgrade to both spaces to include the new master classroom configuration of a Spectrum system with card swipe doors and electric window shades. In addition, Playwriting classes use excessive amounts of paper due to printing scripts for play readings during class. We would like to add an IPad cart to eliminate the wasteful printing and to allow exch student to have the scripts available electronically.
