BDA 218 is a classroom that serves 31 classes and over 1200 students annually. DVD’s and online video streaming have become common place tools in the educational environments of Speech Communication, Organizational Communications, Theatre, and Dance. Using multimedia technologies, students are able to see and hear; not only read about their topics. With only two master classrooms on the second floor of the BDA these technologies are unable to be used in many of the classes. In Speech Communication classes students are taught to use visual aides in their oral communication to their class. A master classroom would allow the students to magnify the visual aides as well as talk about them. With such a large lacking in technology ready rooms, we ask that BDA 218 and 314 be converted to master classrooms with LYNK Systems to aide in the presentation of curriculum related materials. We would also like to request an upgrade to the door locks on the two other Master classrooms to the programmable card swipe lock.
