COMM 228 was converted into a computer lab with 17 Mac workstations recently but there was insufficient time and resources to complete the desired configuration. Instructors have requested that the projector be turned to project onto the wall next to the teacher station. Currently the projector faces the far side of the room, opposite the teacher station. We'd also like to add a smart board next to the teacher station. This would require moving the projector screen to that wall and moving the student stations and wall-mounted TVs from that wall to the one that the projector currently faces. We would also like to take full advantage of the room's length to spread out the workstations so that students are not crowded together. This would allow students more work space to use peripherals such as Wacom tablets, and would make exams more honest. This would require the installation of more permanent tables attached to the wall and that would run the length of each wall, similar to the work spaces in COMM 111.
