The James E. Walker Library at MTSU is the intellectual center for 24,000+ students and is a reflection of the university's commitment to education and research. Last year the Library checked our 68 student laptops over 18,000 times. We are proposing to replace 20 of these student laptops which by replacement time will be over 6 years old and out of warranty. We also requesting 20 additional laptop power supplies as we must have a charger in the storage rack as well as one in the case. We are requesting replacements for 5 of our lab iMacs which are out of warranty and broken. In addition we are requesting 50 keyboards and mice to replace the worst ones in the lab and a small quantity of spare parts for our NUC computers so we may repair them quickly if they break (we have 135 NUCs).
