The design lab is used for teaching multiple types of theatrical design and related theatre courses. This space currently has a Nomad cart, but this is very ineffective for the courses taught in the space. The necessary interaction between visual projection of design content is inhibited by the current technology. The awkwardness of the NOMAD and limitations of the current technology (MAC Only) does reduces the ability to instruct students in the theatrical industry standards. Enhanced flexibility in the surface area for document projections, effective speakers, updated computer unit and flexible access to input devices are necessary for demonstrations and student presentation of creative work. Updated technology is requested.
