To replace the laptop computers in Peck Hall 205 with 15 desktops and alter the configuration of the room to place the new computers along the walls of the classroom. The current computers are not only over five years old and beyond warranty, but maintaining the laptops, keeping them updated and operational, has proved ineffective. Required construction includes the connections for the new computers. We can use existing tables along the walls. This computer lab is vital for our undergraduate and graduate programs. Approximately 100 undergraduate students take the research methods course every year (a required course for of most of our majors) and need the computers to complete lab assignments. All graduate students are required to complete the advanced research methods course and need functioning computers to run the STATA program.
