Given our lack of adequate facilities overall and the low probability of new construction for our college, CLA is still trying to bring all of our classroom spaces up to minimum technology standards. History (1500 students across multiple disciplines in general education and major courses): upgrade one of two remaining standard classrooms (Peck Hall 213) to full master classroom. Includes funds for technology, furniture, paint, and window shades. Classroom currently has a cart that functions intermittently and damages power cords when rolled around room. Music (~770 students annually combined enrollment in the two rooms plus 1,000 or more non-students in summer camps, Governor’s school, etc.): SFA master classrooms are not dark enough for use of projector and need shades with new AMX controllers. Current mini blinds are bent, broken, partially functional and do not block light adequately, rendering the Master Classroom equipment ineffective. We propose to correct the problem in two of four classrooms this cycle (SFA 101 & SFA 212). Music & RIM (~180 students enrolled annually): two graphic equalizers & cases for instructional use in SFA 117 & Music Hall courses as an addition to existing technology in the classrooms. An instructor has been loaning his equipment for use in classes, which is not ideal.
