This proposal adds two critical components the the College of Media and Entertainment's main TV studio. The proposed components will enable greater utilization capabilities to the the studio. The studio is currently compromised by a lack of video recording capability. This proposal corrects that situation by adding a video recording array. The studio also lacks any sort of set pieces that can can be quickly assembled, disassembled, and stored compactly. This lack of set pieces limits the usability of the studio. This proposal includes a kit of modular set pieces that meets these needs at a most basic level, and enables greater utilization of these facilities. Approximately 200 undergraduate students per year make use of these facilities as part of their required curriculum, plus an additional 100 students who use the facilities for minors, electives and MT10 news broadcasts.
